Hello and a very warm welcome to a very cold July in Melbourne!
I am not a great fan of winter on the best of days and when the mercury stays at 9 degrees I find that my mood and my positivity tend to wilt faster than the cold little flowers in my garden.
And I do know that i am not the only person who has a tendency to suffer from the seasons, so with this thought in mind I would like to share a little secret that will help you to overcome the winter blues.
My little secret is that I like to travel around my immediate surroundings to both places that I have previously been as well as ones that I have not.
When I am out on my travels I Try to Raise my awareness to my surroundings by noticing the flowers, The birds, the trees and also the scents that are around me.
By slowing down my beathing and focusing on the beauty of winter it helps me to see life a little more clearly and to take my mind of the cold.
Winter brings with it not only the cold but a certain beauty that is not there in any other season of the year.
Allow yourself, as you are noticing the small idiosynchrasies around you to deepen your breath and to be at perfect peace for that single split second.
Throughout the day keep your eyes fixed on the glimpses of the sunlight and refuse to see any gloominess and you will find that the mind will remember the beauty that it saw later on in the day.
Recognise that the stillness and the silence in the winter time help us to go within and to overcome the everyday hustle and bustle the of the world.
Remember that first and foremost we are all souls who are in this world but not of it, so do not allow your mood to be dictated by the workings of the world.
Raise your consciousness and let your mind be at perfect peace even if it just for a split second every day and you will feel that your mood starts to shift and the winter starts to become an exciting adventure to be enjoyed.
As always thank you so much for reading my newletter
